Privacy Policy
Last updated:
HolidayClash is designed to work without collecting personal data from visitors. This page explains what we do and don't do.
What we don't collect
- We don't ask you to register or log in.
- We don't collect your name, email, or any identifying information.
- We don't store any record of which countries you compare.
What is collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) records anonymous request logs that include your IP address, browser type, and which page you visited. These logs are used for security and infrastructure purposes and are not used to identify or track you personally.
Holiday data API
When you select a country, your browser fetches holiday data directly from Nager.Date, an open-source public holiday API. We have no control over their privacy practices; please consult their documentation if needed.
Cookies
HolidayClash itself does not set any cookies. If we add analytics or advertising in the future (to support hosting costs), we'll update this page and provide consent options where required by law.
Advertising
If display advertising is added in the future, third-party ad networks may set cookies on your browser. We'll update this policy and provide a consent banner before that happens, in compliance with GDPR and ePrivacy rules.
Your rights (GDPR)
If you are in the European Union, you have rights under GDPR including access to, correction of, and deletion of any personal data. Since we don't collect personal data, there's nothing to access or delete on our side. If you have questions, you can contact us via the GitHub issues link on the data source page.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site evolves. The date at the top reflects the most recent change.
