Privacy Policy

Last updated:

HolidayClash is designed to minimize the personal data we collect. This page explains what we do and don't do, including third-party services and advertising.

What we don't collect ourselves

Automatic data collection

Like most websites, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) records anonymous request logs that include your IP address, browser type, and which page you visited. These logs are used for security, performance, and infrastructure purposes and are not used to identify you personally.

Holiday data API

When you select a country, your browser fetches holiday data directly from Nager.Date, an open-source public holiday API. We have no control over their privacy practices; please consult their documentation if needed.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first analytics service that does not use cookies and does not track individuals across websites. It provides us with aggregated, anonymous usage statistics such as page views and general geographic origin (country level).

Advertising and Google AdSense

To support the free operation of the Service, we may display third-party advertising, including via Google AdSense.

Cookies

HolidayClash itself does not set any first-party cookies. However, when advertising is enabled, third-party advertising cookies may be set by Google AdSense and its partners as described above.

You can control or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect the personalization of the ads you see, but will not affect your ability to use the main HolidayClash tool.

Your rights (GDPR)

If you are in the European Union or the European Economic Area, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you. Since we don't collect personal data directly, there's nothing to access or delete on our side.

For data collected by third parties (such as Google via AdSense), you should exercise those rights through the respective third party using the links above.

California residents (CCPA)

Residents of California may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information is collected and the right to opt out of the "sale" of personal information. We do not sell personal information ourselves. Advertising partners may share data with third parties as described above; you can opt out through the links provided in the Advertising section.

Children's privacy

HolidayClash is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site evolves. The date at the top reflects the most recent change. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
